As lead partner of the Regional GLAM consortium, UWr excels in cross-institutional collaboration, digitization, and accessibility. Its Institute of Information and Media Studies specializes in youth media literacy and civic engagement, directly supporting the project’s goals. UWr’s Faculty of Social Sciences adds expertise in democratic values and inclusion. Through local initiatives and European networks like Arqus, UWr fosters intercultural dialogue, multilingualism, and inclusive education, making it ideal to lead this V4 project to ensure regional impact and sustainability.

KJSZ is a public regional library serving as both a municipal library and a district methodological center. It preserves and provides access to the cultural heritage and local documents of the region, supporting community engagement and education. With a collection of about 100,000 volumes, including fiction, education, children’s, music, and local history sections, it acts as a dynamic cultural hub. The library hosts literary evenings, exhibitions, music salons, film clubs, reading circles, and baby-and-mum clubs, engaging all age groups. It also offers craft workshops and digital skills training for seniors, and organizes puppet shows, quizzes, and summer camps for children. The project leader, director Fabóová Mária, has 20 years of grant management experience, ensuring professional oversight and effective implementation.

Moravian-Silesian Research Library in Ostrava has many years of experience in working with young people, organizes a number of courses for different age groups and serves as a community library for the entire region of North Moravia and Silesia. In addition, it also cooperates with the Silesian University in Opava, with which it has a memorandum of cooperation and the involvement of researchers from the university ensures the fulfilment of the research part of the project. The library also has a supervisory function in the region, it guarantees the level of service of all other libraries and cooperates closely with them, thus ensuring a link with practice in the whole region.




Hamvas Béla Pest County Library

HBPCL serves and organizes library services for 186 settlements in Pest County. Szentendre, an educational hub, with five secondary and nine elementary schools, is 20 km of Budapest and attracts many families seeking a healthy environment. However, many commute daily to Budapest and not often participate in local life, weakening community cohesion. The library’s youth dept since 2021 focuses on engaging 12-18-year-olds with innovative programs and providing a safe space. City functions as an educational centre of the surrounding area. 5 secondary, 9 elementary schools are existing in the town. Library developed youth library department in 2021, since then we are working on attracting 12-18 years old children with various programs to ensure them a safe, inclusive environment after school hours. The library fosters intergenerational interaction and a collaborative youth environment.
